Children's Ministries

Children are the heart of St. Luke's. Veteran educator Janis King oversees our children's programming.

We have  Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classes each Sunday morning and a nursery for Wednesday evening activities, and other times as needed .  We also offer Rotation Sunday School classes each Sunday morning for children in K-5 (Pathfinders).

Children's Sunday School Opportunities for June 2013:

Each Sunday morning during the month of May, Pathfinders (K-5) will study the Rotation unit Money and Time.  As children of God, we are called to practice good stewardship by giving generously of the God-given gifts of our talents, our time, and our money.

Children will have the opportunity to learn that

• there are many ways for us to use our talents, time and money to serve God;
  
• all that we have comes to us as a gift from God;
  
• stewardship is an important part of living as a follower of Jesus;
  
• stewardship meant being a good manager of all God has given to us;
  
• as good stewards, we are to take care of the gifts God has given to us and use them to serve others;
  
• talents are the skills and abilities that we have to offer in service to God;
  
• giving gifts of our time and talents is worth just as much to the church as giving gifts of money or possessions.
  

Our Bible verse is 1 Peter 4:10 (GNT)...Each one, as a good manager of God's different gifts, must use for the good of others the special gift he has received from God..

We gather in room 309 at 9:15 (June- August) for sharing and singing and then go to our different classrooms......Art, Cooking, Science, or Storytelling/Drama. Parents are asked to pick up their children at 10:15. We invite you to join us each week!
